Windy Boats & Berthon

Express Cruisers Ltd was founded in 1983 specifically to handle the marketing and distribution of the Windy Boats range in the UK. In 1997 Express Cruisers became part of the Berthon group, one of the UK’s longest established and most highly-respected boating companies.

Located in Lymington, Berthon’s ‘big blue’ sheds offer unrivalled preparation, painting, engineering, shipwright, plumbing and electrical services. This unique service facility is also linked to a modern 300-berth marina and large ashore storage areas. Purchasing a Windy from Berthon group means that you can relax in the knowledge that your investment is secure and that the company has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities to provide the level of service you would expect when purchasing such a high quality product as a Windy.

With over 25 years association with Windy Boats, the company has tremendous depth of knowledge made even stronger by regular factory visits. Potential and existing customers are encouraged to visit the factory and should you wish to see your new Windy in build we would be delighted to arrange it. Berthon are also distributors for Windy Boats for the whole of France and are able to offer both new and used boat sales, berthing, guardiannage and full after sales support through their Mandelieu La Napoule office.

“My wife and I have been delighted with the help and support offered by the Berthon team throughout the ordering and delivery process of our new Windy 52 Xanthos. Three weeks ago we enjoyed a test trip in Sweden where we were able to see the very impressive build process culminating in the launch of our new 52, our third Windy.”

I just can't fault Berthon - one of those companies you feel you can immediately trust. I've bought five new boats... previously in the UK and Switzerland but never had this level of service. Of course, my Windy Coho GT is just great, as you would expect, and I'm really pleased they persuaded me to have the diesel engine. I don't have a lot of experience of power boats, but the Coho is just everything I wanted (last boat this lifetime!) and cannot be faulted, especially for ease of handling by one person. I needed a boat I could trust when single-handed - easy to manoeuvre in the shallow waters of Poole Harbour as well as cut through the over-falls with style off the Dorset coast.read more
